Launch of HI-FIVE training program

Columbia University’s Department of Biomedical Informatics is excited to announce the launch of the HI-FIVE (Health Informatics For Innovation, Value & Enrichment) professional development training program.  With federal funding from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, our team has developed a unique training for your professional development needs.

HI-FIVE training opportunities are available for all healthcare workers, including clinicians, administrative managers and staff, non-clinical providers, technology and insurance providers, and any other roles in health care.  Each training is curated for a specific role and lasts approximately 10 hours.

Our comprehensive online HI-FIVE training covers the following five topics:

  2. Care Coordination and Interoperability
  3. Value-Based Care
  4. Healthcare Data Analytics
  5. Patient-Centered Care

Our training is unique because it is: Case-Based | Role-Based |  Flexible

  1. I am excited about the new training opportunity and have registered for the HI-FIVE training and at the end of the registration process it sent me to http://www.columbia.com sportswear website. You may want to change the .com to .edu.

  2. We recently registered for one of the training for the courses that were offered and just wanted to know if we’d receive an email confirming our registration and the date the course would be held?

    1. Hi Michael and Mary,

Yes, you receive confirmation of your registration submission upon survey completion. Our team will check your registration and be in touch with you shortly.

      Thanks,
      Raven

  3. I have been a student in United States but left America in 2011. While registering the form asked for a US zip code. To the best of my memory I had provided the zip code where I stayed during my education or the zip code of my sister residence where I used to stay.
Since this is an ONC funded opportunity and limited to 1000 persons, I was wondering if I am allowed to continue with the training.

I am a physician from India and currently residing at India. I am however enrolled in a 1 year Masters Certificate Program at Harvard Medical School (Patient Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership Program) which is a blend of Online and Offline classes.

I have been accepted into HI-FIVE training and currently in m idle of completing my training at Coursera. Please let me know If I am eligible to continue the training and receive the certificate.

  4. Hi. I registered to take the training program. I received an email confirming my registration. When should I expect to hear if I am accepted? I see that the funding is limited and was wondering if I am still eligible to participate.

    Thank you
